Practice High School Placement Test

Saint John Paul the Great Catholic High School is excited to host our spring Practice High School Placement Test!

The Pre-High School Placement Test (Pre-HSPT) is intended to help 7th grade students become more familiar with the different sections of the HSPT under timed conditions. The Pre-HSPT is a practice test which is an optional way to prepare for the HSPT. It will give the student an idea of how the exam will be administered and what to expect on the actual day of testing. The Pre-HSPT scores will not be reported on any of your child's high school applications.

Parents are welcome to stay for the duration of the Pre-HSPT to attend our Parent How to High School Workshop! Please indicate your interest in this event below.

To register your 7th grader, please:
1. Complete the form below.
2. Submit the $30 testing fee via Pay Simple:

You will receive your registration confirmation once both the form and payment have been received. Please complete this form at least five days prior to the testing date to guarantee a seat for your 7th grader. Thank you.

Testing Accommodation: If your student requires testing accommodations, please email proper documentation to admissions@jpthegreat.org. Confirmation of accommodations for Pre-HSPT will be communicated prior to the testing date.

Arrival Time: 7:45 - 8:00am
Pick Up Time: 11:45am - Noon

Materials Needed: Sharpened #2 pencils, water bottle, small snack (optional). Student may bring a cell phone but it will be turned off and collected prior to the start of the test, and returned at the end of testing.

How to High School

Saint John Paul the Great Catholic High School is excited to host our annual 7th and 8th Grade Skills Workshop on January 11, 2025 from Noon-4pm! Our workshop will be jam-packed with fun times and helpful information for middle schoolers!

Our day starts with lunch, so come hungry! Breakout sessions include: How to Enjoy High School, How to Manage Money, How to Make the Team, and more!
